Milton Keynes has no single Christmas market. The free winter fair at centre:mk runs 30 October to 1 November, with over 100 stalls. Olney's date is not set.
Milton Keynes does not have one big Christmas market. It has a run of fairs and stall days spread over six weeks, and the first is earlier than most people expect. The MK Curated Winter Fair fills Middleton Hall at centre:mk from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November, with free entry. Olney’s Victorian street fair, the best known in the area, does not yet have a confirmed date.
The quick answer
- MK Curated Winter Fair, centre:mk: 30 October to 1 November. Over 100 stalls. Free.
- Milton Keynes Museum’s festive craft market: Saturdays and Sundays, 5 to 20 December, inside its Victorian Christmas.
- Olney’s Dickens of a Christmas has no 2026 date yet. The town council says it is usually the first Sunday in December, which this year is 6 December.

MK Curated Winter Fair
The fair is in Middleton Hall, centre:mk, MK9 3ES. The centre’s listing promises “over 100 pop-up stalls” of handmade and vintage goods, from exhibitors who are individually invited. Entry is free.
It opens from 9am to 6pm on Friday 30 and Saturday 31 October, and from 10.30am to 5pm on Sunday 1 November. The Friday falls in the October half term; see our half term page for the rest of that week.
Three weeks later the same hall becomes Santa’s grotto, from 20 November. Our grotto page has the prices.
The town switch-on days
Two of the town lights switch-ons come with a day of stalls.
Stony Stratford, Saturday 21 November. The day brings stalls, a funfair and entertainment to the Market Square from 12.10pm, and the lights go on at 5.30pm, according to the organising committee.
Newport Pagnell, Saturday 28 November. The town council’s events list says stalls open on the High Street at 10am and the switch-on is at 5pm.
Our Christmas lights page has the full running order for both, and for Wolverton on Friday 27 November.
Milton Keynes Museum
The museum in Wolverton runs a festive craft market and bar on the Saturdays and Sundays of its Victorian Christmas. Those are 5 and 6, 12 and 13, and 19 and 20 December, from 10.30am to 5pm, with last entry at 4.30pm. The Friday evening openings do not have the market.
You need a museum ticket to get in. The museum says you pay once and can return free for a year. Parking is free.
Olney: Dickens of a Christmas
Olney’s Victorian street fair is the biggest Christmas event in the north of the district. Olney Town Council’s event page says it is “usually held on the first Sunday in December from 10:00am until 4:00pm”. In 2026 the first Sunday in December is the 6th.
The council has not confirmed that date. When we checked on 28 September its page still carried the 2024 date, Sunday 1 December 2024. It does say that stallholder applications close on 1 October 2026, so this year’s event is being planned.
The council describes costumed stallholders, an old fashioned fair, a street organ, street entertainers, singers and the Olney Brass Band. Craft fairs run in The Olney Centre and Carlton House Club. It says a park and ride runs from the Yardley Road Industrial Estate, “subject to confirmation”.
We will add the road closure and parking arrangements once they are published. Our roadworks page carries closures across the district.
Still to be confirmed
- Olney’s Dickens of a Christmas date, and its park and ride.
- Any Christmas market in central Milton Keynes beyond the winter fair. Neither centre:mk nor the city council had listed one for 2026 on 28 September.
- Bletchley, Wolverton and Woburn Sands had published no Christmas fair dates.
We will check again on 19 October. Parking charges in the city centre apply on every shopping day before Christmas; see our parking page.
