Four Milton Keynes grottos are on sale: centre:mk from 20 November at £16 a child, Gulliver's from 22 November, MK Museum and Bletchley Park in December.

Four Santa’s grottos in Milton Keynes have published dates and prices for 2026, and all four must be booked ahead. The first to open is centre:mk’s, on Friday 20 November, with Gulliver’s Land two days later. Milton Keynes Museum and Bletchley Park follow on the first weekend of December. The way each one charges is different, so the cheapest for your family depends on how many adults are going.

centre:mk: Santa and The Snowman

The shopping centre’s grotto is in Middleton Hall from 20 November to Christmas Eve. The centre’s listing describes a live telling of The Snowman story, Christmas biscuit decorating and a meeting with The Snowman. Each family then meets Santa one to one in a woodland cabin. Every child gets a gift, and a family photograph is optional.

Tickets are £16 a child, £6.50 an adult and £5 for a baby under one, with a 10% booking fee on top. The £5 baby ticket does not include the craft or the gift. It is sold on selected weekdays only, by email to tickets@eskimojoevents.co.uk. Everything else is booked through the organiser’s ticket site.

The centre has not published session times on its listing. Its shops are open from 9am to 8pm. Parking charges apply in central Milton Keynes every day except Christmas Day; our parking page has the tariffs.

Gulliver’s Land: Santa with the theme park

Christmas at Gulliver’s runs from 22 November to 23 December at the theme park in Newlands, MK15 0DT. Every package includes a visit to Santa in his grotto, a gift each child chooses from the Elf Workshop, Santa’s Enchanted Elevator (a virtual flight to the North Pole), the Winter Wonderland and a selection of Christmas rides from 10am to 4.30pm. Gulliver’s says about 65% of its usual rides run in the Christmas season.

Four day packages are listed, each priced “from”:

  • Smasher, from £27. The grotto, rides and festive entertainment. Gulliver’s calls it the best value.
  • Festive Breakfast, from £33. Adds a breakfast bap and hash brown, or cereal for children, with coffee or squash.
  • Cracker, from £34. Adds a light meal: a hot turkey or Quorn roll, fries and a mince pie for adults, nuggets, fries and ice cream for children.
  • Twinkle, from £39. Theme park entry from 1pm, then the grotto and an evening at the Land of Lights lantern trail.

The listing does not say whether adults and children pay the same, so check the price for your group in the booking system. Gulliver’s is running a 25% discount with the code XMASGL on the Smasher, Cracker and Festive Breakfast packages, for day visits on 22 and 29 November and on 5, 6, 21 and 22 December only. Parking is free, and children under 90cm go free.

Milton Keynes Museum: grotto and a Victorian Christmas

The museum’s Santa’s Grotto runs over three weekends:

  • Fridays 4, 11 and 18 December: 4.30pm to 7pm
  • Saturdays 5, 12 and 19 December: 10.30am to 5pm
  • Sundays 6, 13 and 20 December: 10.30am to 5pm.

It costs £16 a child, and adults go in free. Children meet Father Christmas and his elves and get a gift. Museum tickets are bought separately, and under 5s enter the museum free. The museum says “pre-booking is essential” and that there are no walk-ups.

The grotto sits inside the museum’s Victorian Christmas, on the same days. That includes a decorated Victorian farmhouse, carols around the pianola, and mulled wine and mince pies. A festive craft market runs on the Saturdays and Sundays. Last entry is 6.30pm on Fridays and 4.30pm at weekends.

The museum is at McConnell Drive, Wolverton, MK12 5EL, with free parking.

Bletchley Park: a 1940s grotto

Bletchley Park’s Vintage Christmas Grotto runs at weekends and in the school holidays between 5 and 23 December. Slots run from 9.45am to 3.25pm, and the exact times vary by date.

It is £15 a person plus a booking fee, and adults pay the same as children. The minimum booking is one adult and one child. The ticket covers five minutes with Father Christmas, a gift for each child, festive crafts and a full day at Bletchley Park. Annual passes do not get you into the grotto.

Groups are small. Each slot takes three families at most, of up to four children and four adults each. Bletchley Park warns that latecomers may not be admitted.

Relaxed sessions

Bletchley Park also runs a Relaxed Christmas Grotto for children who need a quieter visit. That includes autistic children and those with sensory conditions. The price is the same £15 a person. The sessions are:

  • Saturday 12 December: 11.25am, 11.50am, 12.15pm and 12.40pm
  • Friday 18 December: ten slots between 10.10am and 2.55pm.

Book online or on 01908 640404. For opening hours and everything else on site in December, see our Bletchley Park winter page.

Which is cheapest?

We have added up the published prices for two adults and two children over five. Museum admission and the Bletchley Park booking fee are not included, because neither organiser publishes the figure on its listing.

  • centre:mk: £45 in tickets, plus the 10% fee, comes to £49.50.
  • Bletchley Park: four tickets at £15 is £60 before the booking fee. That includes a day out that would otherwise cost £25.87 an adult.
  • Milton Keynes Museum: £32 for the grotto, plus museum entry for everyone aged five and over.

Santa elsewhere

Santa also visits the town switch-on events. Wolverton’s is on Friday 27 November and the town council promises a visit from Santa. Our Christmas lights page has the details. For theatre, see our pantomime page.

Still to be confirmed

  • Session times at centre:mk, which appear only in the booking system.
  • Gulliver’s session dates. The season runs 22 November to 23 December, but the open days within it appear only in the booking system.
  • Other grottos. Garden centres and farm parks around the city had published nothing for 2026 when we checked again on 4 October.

We will check again on 2 November and add any grotto with a published date and price. Schools break up on Friday 18 December; see our term dates page.
